Thanksgiving has come and gone... flown by really and Christmas is upon us very shortly. I just wanted to post the things that we have been thankful for in the past years together. I know that I can speak for Steven and I in this post when I say how thankful we are for the wonderful life we have been given. Obviously life isn't always sugar and spice, but we have been so blessed by the Lord. As of late we are especially thankful for the power and peace that prayer brings to each of us. We are thankful for our families and friends who have been willing to help us in the most random circumstances, willing to love us despite all of our short comings, and who have patience with us when we do idiotic things. I can't express how thankful and blessed we are for the opportunity to have two of the most wonderful children! Mike and Josh make our life so adventurous and full. It's hard to imagine adding another one someday, but that will come. I am so thankful for how gentle Mike is and how kind he is to Josh. Even when I give them both equal amounts of a snack... Mike offers some of his to Josh. And my little fly weight Josh is always so willing to give cuddles and kisses if he sees you sad. I know they were sent together for some reason beyond what I see. Sometimes we have a hard time dealing with two tantrums at once and having to buy more diapers than I want to ever see again, but the Lord has definitely sent us a bounty of blessings that we never would have received otherwise. What a glorious thing it is to be part of a family, extended family and especially a member of this wonderful gospel. WE are grateful for the help that Aunt Mel has given us in the past month... with so many meetings for our callings, Steve trying to help our neighbors, and me working at night it gets hectic... she has blessed us so much!
The last two thing I want to add is more personal, but seems not to get said enough. I have been given the privilege of having the most wonderful husband I could have ever asked for. He brings so much more of me than I thought I had. His generous spirit to those around us has brought so much to our family. He is working hard at teaching our children well and I love him soooo much! What things I ever did to deserve a man like him... I don't know.
The last thing I want to write before this becomes a church testimony meeting, is how thankful I am for our SAvior. I am so indebted for the sacrifice he made personally for me and still what I don't know if I will ever comprehend is the willingness he performed that great act with. He has paved our way and gives us a choice and for that I am eternally grateful.
We hope that as Christmas comes near, you will be able to have the joy, peace, and love you need. WE LOVE YOU ALL AND ARE THANKFUL FOR YOU!
